My dad had a 1600 Minx in 1963 to 66 and then a Rapier and I loved them as a teenager. In 76 I got a 6 month old P reg Hillman Hunter and my brother had to get one up and got a Holby. It went well for the day but he had to keep resetting the carbs as it went out of tune regularly.

I remember that the father of my best friend bought a brand new Hillman Minx in 1963 (foam White with red interior). I was staggered that a spare wheel was an extra cost over the £661 base price. Deja vu and tings have gone full circle - and not for the better!
