I just heard about this this morning from a friend who is himself a retired policeman, tragic,rip to the poor man and condolences to his family,friends and colleagues

I hope the criminal makes a full recovery so he can then face what's coming to him.

They have just reported on BBC 10pm news that he was about to be scanned with a metal detector when he produced the gun.They also said he was patted down when arrested but had to be brought into custody for an intimate search.
