K series loom question
I've pretty much exhausted every other component as being the cause of my over-fueling and poor idle when cold, so I'm left with replacing the engine bay loom. This is for a 1.8 non-turbo.
Some questions; 1. Is there any difference in the engine loom between manual/auto versions? I know the auto has the park/neutral switch additional on the car harness connector, but is there anything different going into the engine bay? 2. Is there any change from the Mk1 to the facelift or pre- to post-Project Drive? Mine's a 2004 facelift but the only looms I can find on eBay etc are pre-2000 cars. Thanks in advance! |

Rimmer's website is less useful than it used to be, but maybe there are still some clues?

Sadly nothing of use on there, it was the first place I looked!
YSB107670 is the part number mentioned on the pre-2000 looms I've seen, sticking that in Rimmers says it's been superceded byYSB113972. However, the only mention of YSB113972 in google is the Rimmer page for YSB107670. Good thought though! |

I think between us Pete we've positively eliminated everything (by replacing/swapping/unplugging) everything except the loom or crank sensor....so this seems to be the next logical step.

Can't see it being the crank sensor though.

I can't either, hence going for the loom.
