Cool

The rain stopped at Noon and we have had sunshine since.

Gammon rasher, taters and baby cabbages for tea.

Evening all, sorry to hear you’re unwell again Phil, you seem to go from one trauma/illness to another. Hope things start getting better for you now.

The shop I used to frequent regularly, a decent sized Coop, closed down recently, started using a local Scotmid, Coop by another name really. This other one, either the staff are paranoid or the clientele is questionable, my usual coffee is Kenco Millicano, the larger size tin has a security tag on it

Cheers Rod, when I was in the UK for the summer, everything was fine and no complaints. I was hoping to make it to Christmas without having to go into hospital, 3rd admission this year. It is, what it is. Biopsies were taken from the stomach. 7 days wait to get the results. I am hoping for a very happy Christmas, otherwise no complaints as I am getting excellent care, everyone is kind and thoughtful. The night nurses have just been in, 3 young ladies

My first experience of a doner kebab was on a working visit to Cyprus in the 70's. Actually it was not long after the, erm, troubles there as some would like to hide behind the description of in the 70's and maybe a little bit nearer to home in the UK elsewhere to this day. Cough! All hell and chaos broke loose when Zorba the Greek let rip over the sounder blaster in the taverna and a local wedding party began to smash the crockery. Thank God for the free kokinelli local wine that was served to favoured patrons/nations at that time. As I stood at the bar I did not envy one bit a German party at one table who I saw were served bottles of booze which had some their contents replaced with the best of Greek thanks - courtesy of Greek memories of WW2.
