Trusting in Our Weather
I and many others moan about the weather but it is what it is.
Some of us may have spent some money on events and tickets some time ago, and then the weather changes to put a total stop to those events. You cannot foresee the future, though one can have a good guess based on previous weather patterns and the time of year. More to come, and more rain. |

First two weeks of August this year as we all know the weather was absolutely roasting. We thought we would have a night out at Leeds Millennium Square, good weather, open air event and a Whitney Houston tribute act so we purchased tickets and arrived dressed in T shirt attire.
As we arrived the heavens opened like nothing we had seen before and the guy selling poncho's must have made a years takings in an hour, learning to keep your beer under your poncho and drinking it became a skill quickly aquired. Turned out to be one of the best nights we had out in a long term, literally everyone at the event dancing in the pouring rain to what was a very polished performance. I think because of the weather the memories of everyone laughing, singing and dancing will stay with us for a long time...
