I have been made aware of the existance of a sub 1k example of a 75 V8 alongside a sub 1k 1.8. Neither for sale and alongside some other illustrious company in the Norfolk area.

I would say yes this is an excellent price, I would go so far as to say it is perhaps under priced.
Like is often the case with Rover 75 under priced under valued under rated by the great unwashed, these are and always were stunning, a lot of car of your money, and can still imho hold their own against most cars on the road today.
Bias - quite possibly

The 75 was built in less numbers than the ZT, but the ZT always seem to command a higher price, maybe because all (but maybe 1) were autos. ZTs were all (again maybe but 1?) were manuals. The really (really!) desirable V8s are the ones with blowers on them.

Police here in NI evaluated a couple of V8s ZTs (a few 190s too - the diecast model was based upon one, albeit a mk2 model against the real mk1 car)., and at least one personal protection 75 V8. A V8 ZT is still apparently languishing at the local police garage with issues.

The 20 miler, is discussed a couple of times a year, price hasnt changed for a long time, and was only registered when it was, to allow it actually be registered for fear of falling foul of the emissions regs that came in. If you look at the rest of the guy's stock (Hursley Hill), make sure you have something to hold your mouth closed with lol.

I heard the garage it is at has several abandoned Rovers for ridiculous prices. And you have to buy the car, then pay them to restore it.

Are those the correct wheels for the car?

I thought they had 7 spokes not 5.

No they are not the right wheels, they are 17" Starspokes the V8 should have 18" Vortex alloys which as you say have more spokes.

Afaik the 75 V8 Connoisseurs came with diamond cut 17" Starspokes as standard with 18" Vortex wheels being an extra cost option.

Sorry I stand corrected......they certainly don't look right on a V8 though.

Indeed this is so, 75 V8 Connoisseurs came with diamond cut 17" Starspokes as standard.

The V8 does appear to sit a little higher than the standard saloon and tourer, I mean to say, greater wheel arch clearance, temporarily I have just fitted 18" replacing the 17" hoping to see a much bigger difference
Fit coil overs perhaps ??

Also, the bumpers are a slightly lighter than the rest of the car, and the N/S rear light is a replacement untinted one from a ZT that doesn't match the other side - he doesn't lift the rear well cover/hatch, either - makes me wonder if it's had a small bump at some point.

He misrepresents the (now defunct) MKIII BMW nav computer as a CD changer and IMHO that radio install is amateur at best.

No powerfolds, Vortex alloys or xenons (nit picking there really)

Oh, and it states one of only 135 - when there were 166 made (inc. the 16 tourers)

A lovely looking example, though.
