Hi Rouge, yes I've seen that and have a ring on its way, I just wondered what the size was as it seems very expensive for a simple o ring.

You've hit the nail on the head there I think Graham. if it's a non-standard size then it will be expensive, economies of scale and all that.

Dunno the size, but viton o-rings are expensive. But advert doesn't say if it's viton, so I'd be a bit circumspect on that. I reckon it's Nitrile or EPDM, which is OK, but nowhere near as good as Viton. Don't forget the FOC.

This may help with the job: https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...ead.php?t=9108

Just checked my order and it is nitrile which according to this should be ok .For the amount of years my car has left it will probably out live it.

I believe the factory-fitted seal was nitrile so that's a time gauge.

New o ring arrived in the post today ordered off ebay from sealsuppliesuk at the cost of £4.46 for 10 delivered so a bit of a bargain. Took 5 mins to fit and she fired up first time. Took a short trip out and all seems fine now, runs really smooth so thanks T-Cut and SD1too for your help . The size I bought are 80mm inside diameter and 2mm cross section.

Glad we were able to help you on the way to the solution Graham, and a cheap one too!

You might have some customers for the remaining nine 'O' rings.
