I wonder are these the genuine ones for our cars ? as anyone purchased these from the link below ? I too have used differing types over the last 10 years some better than others, but they will all fair better with some grease added.

Same thing happened to me, lasted 12 months, joints still felt tight but rubber perished. I just took them off and through them in the bin, lesson learnt. I think I replaced them with lemforder, been fine now for 2.5 years.

Seems to be a useful discussion on the subject, always likely to be pros and cons for each
I think the main point is to fill them with grease prior to fitting, and don't damage them in the process. I've seen some useful guides on the forum. I'm inclined to get the cheaper set from DMGRS mainly for the 24 month warrantee. When I looked at mine yesterday the top rubber boot was full of water and came bubbling out when I squeezed it Once I've finished the crankshaft pulley I'll be putting some new links on. |

I don’t think they’re the original Arctic, as the rubber boot is held on with a spring clip. The originals were bonded on as far as I can tell. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have to agree with you, I just hate how some sellers make a play on words, if you read the advert it is trying to state they are genuine MGZT drop links, but as you say we know they are not

er, um. Huh huh huh.
Jacked my car up yesterday to replace some of the undertray screws that had fallen out presumably when I had the deer prang just before Christmas. One of the missing screws was at the mid-fixing point. The tray was able to flap up and down and whack on the underside of the fixing point on the chassis. After replacing the missing screws, the clunking has mysteriously disappeared. Perhaps I was too quick to misgive those nice German drop links?

I got mine from Autosessive Halesowen Birmingham. The one went grungeso I took it back after around 12 months and they gave me another which has been ok up to now. Good company to deal with as a bonus also.Just make sure you put some Castrol CL grease into both ends before fitting and work them round to spread the grease onto all surfaces.
