Default colour code for self dimming mirror

I want to retro fit a self dimming mirror to my 2005 CDT.
I'm looking at this thread
http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=36634

but have a question.
from the mirror I have 3 wires going to the headlining.
white/yellow
black
green/brown.

which is permanent live, which is switched live and which is neutral?
Alas I don't recall that I have the plug in the headlining so will need to run my own wires.

thank you in advance

Hi. White/yellow is permanent live, Black is negative and green/brown is reverse feed.
Hope this helps.

I believe it's a switched live from the reversing lights which you can pick up from the fuse box

The reverse feed is a switched live from the reverse switch (manual) or reverse relay (automatic). It disables the dimming function when you are in reverse. You don't have to connect it as it is not essential.

White/Yellow should be an ignition switch controlled feed, not permanent.

Yes, the White/Yellow is ignition switched live. The mirror is always 'on' when the ignition is 'on'.

There can be variations in the connector pin positions in the facelift, the mirror itself should be ignition switch controlled.
