Are MGf cats worth the same? Got me thinking of weighing mine in a fitting a sports cat
Is it just older cats that are worth money? How do you find out how much they are worth and where do you sell them |

Noble metals, not rare earths
I have been speaking with a friend about the valuable components of catalytic converters.
He is a geologist and mentioned “the essential components of the best catalytic converters are the noble metals (not rare earths) — platinum (current price US$837 per ounce), paladium (current price US$2,200 per ounce), and rhodium (current price US$12,000 per ounce), compared with gold (current price US$1,865 per ounce)” As he continued “One must only have one's car serviced by reliable workshops!” I wonder if a Tilt Sensor would be a deterrent, or do they only alarm with a front to rear movement. |

Most aftermarket car alarms offer shock/tilt or vibration sensing, even those cheap 2x wire easy fit car alarms have a built in adjustable shock sensor, any slight jolt to the vehicles body will trigger the alarm. I fitted one to my old 6th Gen Celica, I only had to tap on a body panel and it would trigger the alarm.
A driveway alarm is also a good idea, I have one fitted which detects all movement happening on the drive, it warns us by using a small siren in the house. Both the idea's above are not expensive to buy. |
