E46 is correct and it is the last 3-series generation. The E39 is the last gen 5-series.

If the fascia is olny going to be a cover then it does not require any flange to support a cage and therefore a simple moulding.
Has any one enquired of an injection moulding company how much the cost of tooling would be to produce these? It could provide an item that does not require modification, cheaper than the US ones and give a ready source of supply. Paul |

The E46 is the last 3 series, pre-2005, the current 3-series is E90 and they are totally different and useless for these purposes.
