I washed my car , starting at around 2.15 pm. I finished it at around 3.30pm. I was having a cup of coffee at 3.45pm. At 4.15, guess what? It was pouring of rain. At least all I have to do tomorrow is wipe it dry.........perhaps.

What I did with my Rover 75/MG ZT today?
Washed mine, used Turtle Wax snow foam on my Worx Hydroshot, brilliant tool, rinsed, decent shampoo, rinsed again with simple garden hose spray, and even hand dried it today, it’s the way forward!

I need to do mine. Mot failure and the pipes all round are corroded and i'm worried about doing the job. I have no driveway so i'm roadside.

Had ramps under the back wheels with axle stands under the front jacking points and all the work is under the car. Not the best time of the year to be working outside mind. |

Not the mg but
Managed to change the front shocks on the explorer today without having a heart attack.
Have to admit I was slightly nervous before I started. Stan

One thing I’ve found with the ZT, finally a car with a load bearing crossmember at the front - makes front end jobs so much easier than trying to slide up ramps. I’m also lucky in having a flange tow bar which makes it just as easy to get the back end off the ground. Would definitely agree though that you can’t do axle stands on both ends because of the pull of the jack, so ramps and stands combo is the only safe way for mere mortals to lift the whole car up. Agree, though I can’t do that safely as the surface is too rough!

I’ve always had to manually adjust my ns mirror. It lowers but nothing else. I’d just got on with it.
Then today I noticed the drivers only dropped too, I’ve never had to adjust it. So I thought maybe it’s the switch? Took it out, dismantled it with a small flat blade screwdriver, the contacts were all shiny so I though it was something else.. But I wiped all the contacts with an alcohol wipe, dried them off, reassembled, all working perfectly! Saved me a good few quid!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
