I followed official guideline to bleed it by filling the tank with it raised and then undoing the bleed screw and removing the thin pipe from the radiator until there was a small stream of water from the bleed hole and from the radiator if it makes any difference water doesn't start coming out from the bleed hole and radiator until there is about 6.5 litre in whether that is normal.

I have bypassed the oil cooler the water didn't rise as quick in the expansion tank I will update tomorrow when it has completely cooled down
Thanks everyone who've commented

Update. It seems it was the oil cooler the water doesn't back up no more in the tank so even after I flushed it they still must have been a blockage in the cooler what won't shift
Thanks everyone for your help

Though I'd post again incase anyone what's contributed hasn't seen the outcome it was the oil cooler that was blocked even though I flushed it, I bypassed it with a few pieces of copper piping fitted with compression connectors the result coolant doesn't back up in the tank no more the bleed pipes seem to be hotter too

Thanks for posting the resolution Pete. You're not the first one to experience this. Congratulations on going to the trouble of diagnosing the cause systematically.

I hope that you will complete the job by investing in a replacement oil cooler.

Simon

Iv spoke to a member on here who has one just waiting for him to test it and get back to me otherwise i will have to bite the bullet and get a new one. it's going to get a few more flushes as the k seal seems to be never ending even though I must have flushed it about 15 times every time I flush it the water goes clear with no k seal particules in it then when the engine has been run and I check the coolant after there is k seal particules in the water

Thank you for keeping us up to date on this problem.

Nothing more annoying than than a thread that just ends with no conclusion.
