Up in one of the lofts there are two 1200's and a 600, monitor, keyboards, dollops of floppies, hard drives, all sorts of programs, games, dot matrix printers and other paraphernalia, belonging to my sons now in their 40's, I must put them on thiefbay. They puzzle, but give great enjoyment to my grandchildren no end, along with a few electronic games of the era such as Pong the ping pong game, played on the telly, made from a Maplins kit, which they will play for ages, even the 19 year old twins enjoy them but their dad can still beat them. More chilled out and less frenetic in those days. How did we put up waiting days for a fractal to render or put up with a dot matrix printer chattering and bumping through the night printing the next days homework. You young uns have no idea.

Got rid of all my stuff like that many years ago… A500, CPC6128 and, as you say, loads of peripherals. Many happy memories though.
And keep the Duke between the hedges

My Cruise master switch, the one on the dash, failed to light up the other day when I pressed it to engage it. Thinking there might be a fault, I set about trying to track it down yesterday, but a bit of waggling of the button with it pressed, got it working again just fine.
I'm aware of the issue with the clutch sensor, that only affects the actual cruise engagement. I have yet to find a more permanent cure for that, usually its a matter of lifting the clutch pedal with my toe, or for a longer lasting fix - I press the pedal down with my hand, and pull the switch further through it's mounting hole with my other hand, before releasing the pedal slowly. I might try some blue tack next time, to make the switch stay put :-)
