Hope to see you both very soon, take care.

Good morning to you both

Julien welcome to the day. I spoke with Jessica last night about going to the New Inn on the 21st and about it's good food and accommodation. Of Gus and his report of his visit. A 60 mile drive each way, normally that would be nothing. I will know nearer to the time if we can make it or not. You are wise to remind me to be careful.

Tomorrow will be 8 weeks post op. I am seeing the surgeon tomorrow at 7:30 pm for his conclusions. The danger zone for the bypass graft failure is 6-12 weeks post op. I rested up yesterday and today I am taking it easy after having 4 long walks over the weekend.

Apparently we are lucky to have a strong woman

Last evening the insurance company who covered me for the operation, emailed me the details of my claim. I always feel tense when they write in case they find some reason not to pay. I was pleasantly surprised they have agreed to pay everything in full and said I need do nothing other than get better. A relief
The surgeons fees came to £1000. The aneasthetist was £500 and the 6 nights in hospital was £1000. Outpatient appointments, blood tests and scans £1400 so far ... everything paid thank you Julien for encouraging me to get through.

Morning Derek. Sorry I didn't make the meet - had everyone's chest infection for about 3 weeks now, fed up with it, to be honest.

Been someone run over by a bus on the roundabout junction with the shop.
Clacton is at a standstill whilst the emergency services deal with the incident .

Hope and pray the person(s) involved makes a recovery but by the amount of services involved it doesn't look good!

I'm beginning to like this "logging on and seeing good news from Phil" lark - it gives me a smile to start the day. In agreemnt, the sun has come out - we've got clear blue skies, lovely sunshine - but it's not quite short-sleeved shirt weather yet, still a bit breezy and fresh out there!

A few bob been spent up here yesterday as well Steve - I think the owner & manager both see Jordan Rhodes as the final piece in the jigsaw puzzle of promotion to the promised land?
That's quite poetic that - innit

Hope everyone is as well as encroaching old age allows us to be?
