Passed my Driving Test, for a car, in September 1960 driving a 100E side valve, three speed Ford Prefect. At the time I thought that car was pretty nifty after some lessons in my own 1932 Morris Ten.

I got my driving licence on 6th Nov. 1967 and passed my test first time on 8th Dec 1967 during which time I had been involved in two accidents.
Stationary on both occasions, struck by a bus passing on the nearside then two weeks later by a van sitting in a car park. Oh! My test was in my mother’s Morris Minor HCS 574E I had three lessons in a Vauxhall Viva GSD 7E |

My Dad gave me lessons passed in 1969 in a Wolsley 16/60 at my second attempt in Trowbridge. I was given the car when my Dad got his Wolsley six.

slight disadvantage....
On my second test I had an examiner sat in the back, examining the examiner in the front, needless to say I failed just on being in the wrong lane at a roundabout......
