My new Press Car Celestial ZT-T+ 2.5 V6 190
With a weekly commute of 500 miles I had to sell my old Celestial 190 saloon and buy a diesel, i've missed the sound and performance of the V6 ever since. The diesel is nice and its a great daily driver but even despite being modified I still find it quite boring, it doesnt communicate with me in the same way the V6 does. So having almost completed my degree and no longer commuting 100 miles a day I found myself on the lookout for another KV6 again.
Initially I was looking for a ZS 180 Mk2 but as many enthusiasts will know the V6 engined cars are a little thin on the ground lately thanks to prolific breaking over the last few years. So anyway, I saw this advertised on one of the Facebook groups and decided I wanted it. As is typical with forums and Facebook groups, the advert attracted a lot of criticism and debate about its pricing and the level of work it needed. I saw the car for what it could be, and whilst everyone was arguing about it I got in touch with the seller and we made a deal we were both happy with. Here she is: Looks alright doesnt it? Well...looks are deceiving, the car has had a lot of money spent on it with the most recent bill for £565 in Sept 2018. Its running really rough and is misfiring, so i've been busy trying to get to the bottom of that. Its also got significant damage to the drivers side and needs a lot of work. The rear door is beyond repair and the dent guy I used last time on my Typhoon reckons he can straighten the rest out. It's also been liberated of its Highline units. There are a few scuffs on the bumper corners and it also has a decent chip on the windscreen. But it's got potential. It's a former Press Car and is stamped as such in the service book. It was used by WhatCar in their review, and is still featured on their website on a used ZT-T review which can be seen HERE The original spec is pretty impressive: Celestial paint, 11 Spoke alloys, Highline TV Satnav, Harman Kardon, Highline IPK Message Centre, Heated Grey Alcantara, Cruise Control, Traction Control, Parking Sensors, Ultrasonic Alarm, Curtain Airbags, Brink Detatchable Towbar, Its also got the load cover with integrated dog guard and all the door cards are finished in what looks like dark grey alcantara. Im not sure if this is a MK2 thing, as all my MK1 cars have been a thin layer of upholstered sponge, so this feels and looks really nice. It's also really quiet inside and the doors all shut with a nice firm solid thud. It's hard to put my finger on it, but my diesel sounds cheaper in this regard. Saw this car advertised so glad it's ended up 'in the club'. Looks like a strong spec so odd it hasn't got xenons.
The furry mk2 door cards are far nicer than the earlier cars'.

Managed to give it a wash and survey the damage properly.
These awful awful V6 badges need to go by the way The whole drivers side took a heavy sustained impact, my guess is that it started here and scraped all the way to the front: Despite the way this looks, there is no damage to the door apertures or the hinge assembly and the dent man I use is confident he can straighten it all out. I'm gonna get replacement doors and then repaint the drivers side below the waist trim. It does appear to have had a dodgy bumper scrape repair attempted as the paint looks more like Mirage: Another few jobs I have found:
I checked the pipework and screenwash is definitely going up to the nozzle and there is no kink in the pipe from what I can see. This gromet looks to be upside down to me. As its angled, i think it should be the other way so that it locates snugly. Am I right here? How does it come off? Looks a pain as id have to remove all the wiring and pipework Quite a list to be going on with. Not bothered about the Highline as I prefer to have one of Julians units. Whoever removed the Highline units were clearly morons judging by the amount of clips they've broken |

yep; i saw that one down in leominster a few weeks ago, on facebook, £600 ish depending on what wheels you wanted with it?
