jacking point cover?
This is going to sound silly but...
The man at the scrap yard recently said "oh you're missing a cover on the nearside wheel jacking point, you need to get one" (or something like that). It would make sense - to reduce corrosion etc. There's one on the other side, he said. What's the correct name for this part so I can search for one? I can't see anything in the handbook about a cover... |

Jacking point cover, should be 4, one behind each wheel under the sill.
Item 6, but ask one of the traders, I'm sure they'll have a few https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GRID001532 Last edited by suzublu; 18th November 2018 at 10:24.. |

Thank you. Getting the picture now!
Presumably any of the new ones on offer are just as good? Do they stay in place when you want to jack the car up? I know it's a silly question! |

It's where you put the jack, so can't fall off. There are 2 "prongs" that fit inside the hole in the sill, you need to really hammer them in

As the pads run the risk of falling out due to age, I keep one in the car with the jack, then when I need to jack the car, fit the pad first.
When finished, I remove the pad and put it back with the jack. |
