Default Not allowed to do any DIY

Wife and I have been for a walk, Turkey is in the oven and we are about to sit down and watch a bit of TV but she has banned me from doing any DIY today

so far enjoying the day. She is watching the remake of the film jungle book and I'm having a break from TV.
Nice to spend the day with the wife and neither of us working around the house.

First Christmas in the 34 years we have been married that we are by ourselves.
Daughter is working, son is with his girlfriend and other family we don't want to see,
even decided not to see friends.

Several years ago, when the youngster was younger, I had to assemble “things” on Christmas Eve, after a few sherbets. Not a pleasant experience 😰😰.
Wouldn’t like to think what could I could do wrong on a real car on Christmas Day. 😱😱😱
I think one day off per year is a perfectly reasonable expectation from the good lady.😬

Was thinking about starting on the clutch on my MGF today but have decided to drink instead.
There is lots of time in the new year for masochism.
