Hi, I'm based in Paris and run an MG ZT260, which is extremely rare in France. I bought mine secondhand from Soupizet in Le Mans and their service has been first-rate, including fixing the heater valve which is a notorious problem on this model. I've sent another 260 owner their way too, and he is very satisfied. I had a very poor experience the one time I went to a garage in the Paris area, so finding someone reliable and sticking with them is the way to go.
Between them and ordering parts from Rimmer Bros. in the UK I'm finding it no problem to maintain my car. The 260 is a bit of a special case but in general it's worth listening out on this forum for parts which may fail or are known to be rare and ordering up a spare if you see them advertised. Boone route! Julian. |

I am in Brittany on the River Vilaine. We are over here for seven months of the year @ http://www.alangillam.com/sailingpro...y%20foleux.htm If you let me know I will try and be there.

Seven months every year? You seem to have chosen a very nice part of the valley not very far from the estuary, but within a fairly short distance of Rennes. I do recommend places like the Domaine de Rochevilaine, if you have anything to celebrate! But on a more serious note perhaps we might be able to organise a mini-meet at some stage.
