Question Low speed fan.

I did some hard driving today in cold outside temp, could not get temp over 80 degrees. I have been told my low speed fan is not working so i think that is the problem, high speed on continuously. Now is this a cheap and easy fix or an expensive new fan fix. I have 54 reg diesel and can not see any resistor fitted.

How do you know the high speed fan was on ????

Did you get out and check it ???

It would be making quite a noise that you couldn't miss.

Besides a fan running would not affect the engine temperature UNTIL the thermostat opened.
