Default Wrong Rover front grill badge.

I bought a rover front grill badge, part number DAB000321 for my 04 Contemporary. It has the badge in the crome surround and the two location pins on the back.
A few days later I got around to taking the old one off, thanks to help from this forum (hair dryer and fishing wire). When I put the two side beside, the one I removed was a stick on badge (progect drive I guess) no holes on the grill for the location pins and the crome surround built into the grill
Will have to send it back. What I am looking for then is a stick on badge.
Anyone had the same experience or can point me in the right direction to locating the correct badge.
Thanks
Jason

Ps. The parts garage thet supplied me had not heard of a stick on badge and say it is the only one they know of for an 04 Contemporary

the badge you have i believe is in 2 parts and you could warm it up and separate the foil badge from the plastic backing, however you may have to add some adhesive to make it stick second time.

Much better to drill 2 small holes in the grille to take the new badge as it is a better badge or reonve the plastic lugs from the back of the badge before fitting

Thanks Trebor. Did think of that but the badge is so thin it would proberbly bow like the other one when removed.
The crome surround of the badge is built into the grill so the other badge would not have the space to fit even if i did drill two location holes. Plus the badge was about £30 all in and the stick on badge is proberbly worth pence

So instead of the badge sitting flush to the grill it will now stick out like the one in the above picture on the link.

The sticker is still available Jay from Rimmers.

The part number you mention is for the V8 Bumper, I have two of these and they look miles better quality a badge than the standard.

I'll dig the part number out for the original for you. Rimmers have them at £17 each - that's xparts price.
