These are the ones that radiate out from Nottingham. If you want to avoid them as soon as you can, alter the route below

A453 Toward Notts A52 towards Grantham. At roundabout junction with A46 keep on A52 towards Grantham. The SPECS cameras end about two miles later, just past Bingham. Keep on A52, through Grantham, then A607 signed Sleaford, which becomes the A153 before joining the A15 at Sleaford, then two miles up to the A17 to join the route above. Seems more complex than the Newark way but it isn't - we live in Sleaford and always choose this route to/from Nottingham as it's a much quieter road, avoids the SPECS, and doesn't have the two awkward roundabouts either side of the A1 that the Newark route has. Agreed, you can't (easily) bypass Grantham, but apart from a short queue at the lights by ASDA (usually 5 mins wait at max) this is not a problem!

And you'll still be able to meet up with Actros, as this is where the two routes come back together! There's a Travelodge here, plus Little Chef/Burger King, fuel and plenty of parking for a Rover convoy! On the other side of the roundabout is a McDonalds, if you're in to that kind of thing!

Ahh that will be what we call the squareabout, well actually it's a five sided roundabout, but we couldn't come up with a good word for it, any suggestions.

not sure what is happening about the photo of us lot with the plane but i'll bring a pair of 6' steps along if we want to try for a high(ish) shot.......
