Default Could my sat bag be disconnected ?

Hi there, my ZT has the high line ICE system but although it has the sat nag disc player in the boot the gps option does not display on the screen. When the ignition is on there is no red light on the sat nag DVD player , can these fail? Or could it have been disconnected for some reason? Has anyone any ideas?

Yes these are known to fail, pull it out and see if it has been disconnected first though.

a late reply but I am pretty certain that Rover never fitted a DVD Sat Nav on the 75. From a very rusty memory I think the early 75s were delivered with the BMW (VDO!) Mrk1 drive. This was followed by the Mark2 that operated faster. The Mark 3 look physically similar to the Mark 2 but accepted DVD discs. The extra capacity of these devices meant you could get a DVD covering the whole of Europe on a single DVD. I upgraded our Hi-live with the Mark 3 drive, a Brodmonitor and the digital TV box - all material source from BMWs on Ebay.
