from the side top and rear can you tell the difference? Only from the front can you tell the difference but then a premium bumper is different. Most people wont see under the bonnet, wont see the suspension and when it comes to the interior it is just an interior.

As the proud owner of a ZT you may be upset but as a Rover 75 owner I'd say touchy

Strangely my Rover gets mistaken for an MG

Don't worry about it. I've got an MG Rover, and a Jaguar Mondeo

That's the difference,a 75 owner would never act like Basil Fawlty,he would shake his head, mutter "TUT TUT" and walk away.

As Trikey once said to me; a 75 is a surgeon with a scalpel, a ZT is a skinhead with a baseball bat

Not bothered either way tbh.

Both brilliant cars which have passed people by with their Rover snobbery.

I look at it as the following:-

R75 conny=arm chairs pipe and slippers
R75 Contemp= Best R75 model for the younger generation
R75 all other models= want to be line 1 or 2
ZT- perfect if you feel younger but would not suit lines 1,2 or 3 drivers

All said in jest all the models were/are superb cars.

ZT = mid life crisis

Rover 75 = later years comfort

or

ZT = tattooed yobbo with shirt tails hanging out, callouses on your backside from the rock hard suspension

Rover 75 = tweed sports jacket, walnut pipe rack, wafty and wallowy ride

I agree though, seems to fit nicely.

The Rover 75 is wearing a suit and tie, the ZT is wearing a tracksuit.
I 'd say the Rover is wearing a cardigan and slippers!
