how many days did you do it over?

I think I remember seeing about the ZT-T on a Facebook forum a few weeks ago.
We left on the Thursday and was in Nice on Sunday so 4 days for the challenge, we stayed in Nice for a couple of days and left Tuesday to get back in the early hours this morning with a stop at Dijon on the way up.

Great story... Now get your name down for the Rovers and MGs trip to the Netherlands next year.

Cheers Ian

The last Rover that I did that run in was a 3500 auto. We had similar problems with the heat and found that having the heater on full, high heat with the windows down kept the temps at a suitable level on the "hard" climbs. For the next trip, we fitted a Kenlowe fan and an oil cooler for the auto gearbox. Problem solved (Even with a caravan in tow!).

Brilliant! If I do it again I'll attach an extra nozzle to the windscreen wash and place it on the rad.

Sounds great! I'll need a car first, not sure of the long term damage this caused.

We need more of these postings showing what the cars can do, they were after all designed to munch the miles even though they are now getting on a bit, instead of the 'Oh I got to the shops and back without any major problems' posts

I'm taking my '51' KV6 tourer across Holland and Germany to the border between Poland and Belarussia (near Bialystok) and back soon, via the Harwich to Rotterdam ferry link. I've got breakdown cover, but I'll also take some jubilees and water just in case needs must, although hopefully, I shouldn't have any issues. I didn't last time I took the car into Europe in 2015 and covered over 2000 miles on a mix of roads, good and bad. I'll keep the forum posted.

great story, well written. Car looks really nice
I did France, Switzerland, Germany, Luxemburg, Belgium, France home many years ago on a motorbike and camping.

Some roads in Switzerland were so steep I was worried we would wheelie going up them
