Is this a typo, or do you have a problem with rogue nuns? Nasty things, rogue nuns, they've got some bad habits

Apparently, I'm told, those habits are hard to get out of.

It’s not so much rogue ones, it’s ever since my adorable Celia, from her throne in the, and I type this in the hope of a dispensation from the filter, cockpit, suddenly panicked as co-pilots often do when their hands are not on the controls, and shouted at me ‘Watch out, there’s a nun’. It turns out things were not so black and white.

Of course it wasn’t a nun, it was a Muslim lady discreetly going about her business in the normal way. Celia is one of life’s innocents so a measure of patience is usually its own reward. And safer.

Since that adventure such demure individuals have assumed the misnomer of rogue nuns. There is also an Irish association in the family and one of our clan suffered an unfortunate childhood experience in the middle of the last century at the hands of their presumed guardians and carries the marks to prove it. Hence rogue. All part of Life's rich tapestry.

That is brilliant, thank you (and Celia)

Yes old chap, quite sure. Fortunately letter boxes possess two characteristics that enable successful identification in any circumstances.

1 Bright red to ensure they cannot be missed.
2 Static, to ensure they can.

If design be the mother of functionality, they are just about perfect and unmistakeable. As, I am sure, are many nuns.

So sorry Derek, a term of endearment no less. To what do you rise – genderist, ageist or both?

I bow to your earlier number (almost wrote ‘older’ there) but please try not to widen the topic with references to POTUS – it’s political and the skin of my teeth has been tested muchly already.

Oh, if only... getting withdrawal symptoms. We used to able, in the days of VHS and even Betamax, tape such things to keep in a secret drawer....let's leave it there.

I have a little Satnav, I've had it all my life
It's better than the normal ones, my Satnav is my wife.

It gives me full instructions, especially how to go.
"It's sixty miles an hour", it says, "You're riding far too slow !

It tells me when to stop and start, and when to use the brake
And tells me that it's never, ever, safe to overtake.

It tells me when a light is red, and when it goes to green
It seems to know instinctively, just when to intervene.

It lists the vehicles just in front, and all those to the rear
And taking this into account, it specifies my gear.

I'm sure no other rider, has so helpful a device
For when we leave and lock the bike, it still gives its advice.

It fills me up with counselling, each journey's pretty fraught
So why don't I exchange it, and get a quieter sort?

Ah well, you see, it cleans the house, makes sure I'm properly fed
It washes all my shirts and things, and keeps me warm in bed!

Despite all these advantages, and my tendency to scoff,
I only wish that now and then, I could turn the blighter off.

A bit like this above Wraymond ???---
