High oil consumption? - Page 2

I drove round Europe last August and did 2,848 miles in a week, I checked the oil every day and there was no 'noticeable' difference from setting off to arriving back home.

With both of the (diesel) 75s I have owned, never had to add a drop between oil changes (10k miles)

Neither my KV6 nor my sister's 1.8 (in a 45) leak/consume oil.

The first (and heavily neglected) engine in my Volkswagen however lost 1 Liter per 600 Miles. Replacing all gaskets reduced this to 1 Liter every 3500 Miles so additives might help if they succeed at giving back some of the seals/gaskets' elasticity.
