Smoke alarms etc
Plenty of helpful folks on here so thought I’d ask if you’d have any recommendations for smoke/fire/carbon monoxide alarms?
Been looking at amazon and online etc but there is many different names etc and a vast array of reviews. The long life 10 year ones don’t appear to be as good as they say with failing batteries etc so happy to have replaceable ones for now.

They updated our smoke alarms and increased the quantity and fitted this type. They use conventional 9v batteries. I think that the Ei Electronics brand must be okay, if the fire brigade are using them.

I work for a fire service in the NW and we fit the sealed 10 year Fireangel alarms.
I have them in my house and they seem ok, although I've only had them in for about 12 months so far. |

Good idea to make a note on your calendar/mobile of when you installled it.. Test it at least once a week and change the battery using a premium make every year..

I could just imagine a battery sensor going off in the garage, and I was upstairs with my headphones on, first thing I would know about it, is when the fire service was breaking down the door. Cannot put a price on this stuff.

Did anyone else note the report on the TV that "normal" smoke alarms DO NOT wake up the children.
Wrong frequency of sounder! Industry say they knew this and do have alternatives, only problem is they do not tell you!! (Until now) |
