I try the wave at fellow ZT drivers and try to acknowledge 75 drivers too. Thing is, on every occasion so far they've all looked at me with a "what is that man in that car doing? Does he fancy me/got wrist ache/is a moron?"

As for the missus... She also doesn't seem to appreciate the finer details of an English built classic. She keeps calling my ZT an "old mans car" and says I should have bought something else everytime I mention a retro-fit I'd like to do.

Well I test drove a ZTT before I got my 75...engine-wise nowt in it so I wouldn't bother racing one! As to the non-wavers they all tend to have two or three from the blue rinse set sat in the car with them, mebbe their style is being cramped?

I always look at other 75/ZT owners, a couple of times I've flashed and not to this day have I ever had an acknowledgement. Maybe one day.........

As for the speed thing, my car is like a tank, a cyclist would beat me away from lights, so why bother even trying? It's a beautiful, classy car, built for endurance, built for comfort and damn, it looks good! Sounds a bit like it's owner actually

I suggested a club wave on the other site.

Rover 75 drivers can wave their slippers out of the window in the daylight hours and at night their pipe (the glowing embers being visible for miles)

ZT drivers are to busy holding onto the wheel for dear life as they wizz around the highways and B ways

V8 drivers. It don't count for them because they are either going to fast to see them OR they are in a petrol station holding a fuel pump so they can't wave anyway
