CDTI Mafless remap, maf reconnected
Hi,
If the car has a mafless remap, can the maf be reconnected or will it be throwing all sort of wrong readings and the engine wont run right? |

It will be fine, it will just use the maf values instead of assuming default values. Just make sure its a new genuine bosch maf.

If it's true MAFless then it'll use the MAP sensor to control smoke so it shouldn't need the MAF plugging in.
Most tuners just use the default assumed values when the MAF is unplugged and call that MAFless even though it's not operating any different to unplugging it on a stock car. It's worth checking the live data values of the MAF sensor when it's plugged in to see if it's out of scope before spending any money on replacement units. |
