Sour Grapes?
Well, Amir Kahn lost it. Or he did not win it. Or he failed to get sufficient points to take the decision. That's closer to the truth.
He had points taken away twice by the ref for pushing his opponent. What? That is not an offence penalised in this way in the professional game - especially in America - where all manner of shenanigans are allowed and even encouraged. When your opponent 'lies on' you hit him off or push away. That's all you can do or allow him to recover in his own good time. Peterson did well, no argument there, and was up to the fight in every way. But all the above left a bitter taste. Then, in today's paper, the judge's cards were published. Side by side for all to see. THEY WERE ALL WRITTEN BY THE SAME GRAPHICALLY CHALLENGED HAND! I urge Kahn's people to submit this forensic evidence to a non-USA graphologist. We wus robbed. |
