How lucky is this?
Hi all,
I hope everyone is well and coping OK under the current Covid circumstances! Just want to share something that happened to me on Friday, which I consider myself very lucky with! I work in Burton On Trent, but live in Derby. I'd left work on my way home, and I got a puncture. A nice big ACME bolt headed large self tapping screw! I was JUST about to enter the A38 and would of been accelerating up to 70 mph, I would of had to have driven it for quite a way before I arrived at a lay-by, by that time the tyre would of been junk, so it happened in the right place! I just continued around the island, limped down the road about a mile and popped into Morrisons, parked under a street light and changed the wheel. Something which I've always loved about our ZT / 75's is the boot accommodates a full sized spare wheel and tyre! Not many modern cars do these days! I was also fortunate that my local tyre fitting place managed to repair it!
