Once the new bush is on and I've done a few miles I will report back.
Off to lick my wounds....[/QUOTE] Well, replaced the bush this morning and it didn't require much more than a wee scratch with a file and then a polish with some used 180 grade aluminium oxide abrasive. It seems to be a case of getting the wheel in the correct position within the wheel arch to allow a bit of levering to get the bolt holes lined up- used silicon spray to help push the bush onto the wishbone. The flats of the hexagons on the bush and arm lined up nicely and the rear bolt went in three turns by hand before needing a spanner to proceed... the front bolt wasn't as easy but was by no means swear inducing. Definitely helped coming to the task fresh so to speak. Took her for a run out and then had a quick look over my handiwork and the engine underside before putting the undertray back on. Mileage noted and so will see how this lasts. Last edited by bigblue75; 15th September 2022 at 15:59.. |
