Hi David Many thanks for putting these photos on the forum for me, was sick as a pig when I first saw them, plus the cost. Rev |

I need the drivers side sill on my silver one doing soon, and on the lookout for someone who would do a decent job. What was done to yours to put it right again looks encouraging. Hope it is well treated on the inside to make it a permanent job.

That's really shocking!
I'm dreading what mine's going to be like, it's a Cornish coast car, and I've spotting 'blowing body-filler' on the n/s sill |

Lower Sill. Abortion of a repair
My Vanden Plas had is sill's and the 8" floor section re welded costing over 1k a couple of years ago, I thought it was because is was number 2 in construction at MacNeillie .
We originally have a problem with the sill's on the 6 doors which I took up with MacNeillie but it turns out this was due to the sea air down here in Bournemouth Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by LimoRog; 16th April 2017 at 07:52.. |

At least it's fixed properly now make sure the inside has been treated to help prevent further corrosion.
Makes me glad I can weld so when ours needs done it doesn't cost an arm & a leg.
