Not too sure about that idea, be all too easy to damage it getting the wheel out/in. Underside of the board would be better.

I have considered that too, but the way I take the (full sized Gridspoke) out, it should be ok. The other alternative, would be securing the strip with a layer of fibreglass tissue, and this would give a diffused glow. However, at the risk of speaking too soon, in the 4 years (next Tuesday lol) since I have had the car, I havent had to use the spare, and the spacesaver prior was never used. It is this reason that has compounded my laziness over it lol.

There are plenty of options though, as I have an 18mm ply floor in the boot lol.

Are the LEDs stuck on..... or drilled in ?

Are the wires hidden ?
