Rover passed it's MOT.
On Tuesday my Rover passed it's MOT with no advisories on the certificate, the mechanic said there was a very, very slight dampness on the front offside shock absorber and advised changing both next year which i'm happy to do.
With the struts needing to be removed is there anything else you would recommend renewing while they are off the car...like strut top mounts ???? Any advice much appreaciated.

Good to hear it Graham. Passing with no advisories adds to the feel-good factor

Check the state of your strut top bearings, and the ARB drop links. The drop link top nuts are a lot easier to reach with the struts out. And if you don't have them already, fit a pair of tyre protectors to protect against broken springs.

Whilst you have it stripped down you might want to check the condition of the springs to see if there is any corrosion on them.
Congrats with the pass. Gareth |
