Cool So I'm bored

Tomorrow, I fancy a drive, East is no good, the sea is 100m away, South, not much interesting, all flat & featureless, West, now we're talking, Lake District, loads of hill things & lakes North, Scotland & the Borders, beautiful roads & castle things. Hmm. I do live in a lovely part of the UK

Is it flat and featureless on the Whitby coast road then?

IF you are feeling super bored, you can nip up and make a pair of doors for the new spray booth if you like

My suggestion for a nice tour - to Barnard Castle, then up to Woodland, over Eggleston Common (superb views from that road, south over Tees valley), - from Eggleston up to Middleton, stop off to visit High Force, then on up to Alston, then head for Penrith over Hartside A686. Stop for scenic Pictures at the sadly burnt-out Hartside Cafe with superb views over the Eden Valley, then head for the Lakes. If you get as far south as Kendal, come back via Tebay, Orton and Appleby, or if not enough time, Kirkby Stephen (stop for fish and chips!) and back onto the A66 at Brough. Could be dark by the time you get home, if you do it all!
