Thanks for all the replies.
See what I mean? There are conflicting views on whether they can be fitted. Were Xenons have been fitted, some cars pass an MOT and some fail. I guess its a chance you take. 1. Two questions. The self leveling device. I assume this is fitted within the MGR Xenon headlight unit and not external? 2. Why does headlight washers need to be fitted?

It looks like both the older and newer blurb say that self levellers and washers must work IF FITTED. There's no reference to any requirement to have them ... unless that's hidden away in another bit that we haven't seen.

It's quite the opposite Rev. They may be fitted and if they are fitted they must work
Edit: In light of Rick's answer below I stand corrected to the fact. Absolutely gobsmacked though.

The rules around self leveling headlights and headlamp washers hasn't changed, it's still the same. Selflessness and headlamp washers can only be tested to check they're working IF fitted, there is no requirement to have them fitted if you have Xenon headlamps. |

Interesting points.
I have a facelift 75 with projector headlights, but i have a pair of Xenons (facelift) to retro fit at sometime. Would i need to fit self-leveling adjusters or is the manual wheel compatible ?

You'll be fine Graham, as stated, only vehicles manufactured after 2009 need self levelling, I've had mine fitted for 8 years without a problem
