Default Can't believe it

I am truly shocked and saddened by Brian's death. I did not see this coming at all. I only learned of the news last night. I got a text informing me on my way home. I had to pull over for 5 minutes and take it all in before continuing on my journey
Brian was always fit as a fiddle and I know he was part of a local walking club and walked everywhere. As others have said, it's the good people that get taken first for some reason.....

I've known Brian for apprximately 3 years now through the Hawes meets and having met him several times at various club meets around the country. He was a good man and always made time for people and very knowledgeble too, especially on local history. I always enjoyed his stories about Kirkcaldy and Fife where I grew up.

I was texting him just a few weeks back and we talked about meeting up for a mini gathering and some dinner. Also, I planned to stay down the Lakes on the way down to next years POL and hang with him.

These are the only pictures I have of Brian taken recently at the MG Northumbria meet and one of his lovely 190 ZT-T.

RIP Brian.

That’s a lovely tribute Ravinder and nice photos, thank you for sharing. I met Brian 4 times over the years and he was always pleasant and friendly. I knew he was in a walking group like myself, but he walked greater distances and enjoyed doing it. He was too young to go.

Condolences to his family and to all of his friends, the people who knew and loved him and to you Rav.

Brian was a frequent visitor for a cuppa, either by arrangement or just knocking on the door when he was in my neck of the woods. Still stunned.

I spoke too Brian last year at Whiley bay and we were discussing classic cars and films and he we were both big Steve McQueen fans.

We had a good banter and chat and even after the meet we still in touch though messaging on here as well.

He will be deeply missed great gent.

RIP Brian we always remember you.

Brian was a good customer of mine, a very knowledgable man who loved his zt and looked after it very well. I learned the news early yesterday and couldn’t quite believe what I was reading. RIP Brian

Default Brian's Funeral;

Jan & I have been in contact again with Brian's Sister Joan McCrea today,with details of Brian's Funeral arrangements following the very sad news by text from Joan on Sunday regarding Brian;s sudden passing at home 2 weeks ago.

Joan has very kindly informed us that the Funeral will be a small Family Ceremony held at Seafield Crematorium Edinburgh,this is the text message from Joan.

"I'd be delighted if you attended,we're such a small Family there won't be many there.
It's heartening to get to know Brian's Friends from different part's of his life."

As Brian, over the years of knowing him became a huge part of Jan,I & our Family's Life & indeed of many members of this Club,Jan & I would feel honoured to attend & pay our last respect's to one of life's gentlemen,good mate & very dear Friend,whose light has all too suddenly dimmed,but over the coming years we are certain his light, wisdom & knowledge will continue to shine through us all

As Joan has said it would be heartening for her & the Family if as many members as possible could attend for them to meet & give Brian the send off he deserves from all his Friends in the Club,many thanks all.

Take care on your new journey Brian we will all miss you, God Bless dear Friend.

John & Jan.

Funeral details;

Time 12.00 Noon,Friday 19th October 2018

Seafield Crematorium,
Seafield Road,
Edinburgh.
EH6 7LD.

We would be obliged if you can give us an idea of who may be able to attend so we can pass on to Joan & the Family
