Default Radio volume resets

Not noticed in m saloon but in the tourer the radio/cd volume seems to reset to quite a low volume when the ignition is turned off.
I guess good for not blearing out in the early hours or if someone else drives the car but right now I want Snow Patrol blearing out.

I'm pretty sure it's an optional setting, certainly on the HiLine, but I think it works as a volume increase when the car is cruising at some pre-set speed.

Same with mine, I have to turn the volume up every time. There is apparently no way of fixing it

is this all the issues that would cause?
I'm surprised it even works.
If I wanted to swop the lives, where should I be looking to swop them or rather, where could they be swopped already?
I'll then compare to my saloon
