Default Exhaust finishers

Has anyone ever fitted a pair of chrome/stainless exhaust finishers to their 75 diesel?

I really don't like the dark area on my bumper caused by the exhaust. I am forever cleaning the soot off.

Something wrong with your car if it's making soot on the back bumper Mike.

I've seen some hideous exhaust finishers, I'm thinking of an old Mercedes 280SL Pagoda I used to drive about in, and I'm sure Actros had something similarly daft fitted to his old diesel.

I must dig out some pictures of the Pagoda, to think I drove this around using it as a work hack

Nope! Nothing wrong with the car, very low emissions and no visible smoke. 6o mpg achieved on a run. Been on big Russ ' s t4 a couple of times.

I just get a dark area on the bottom of my bumper that I shows on the silver. Nothing excessive just bugs me.

I didnt fit them, but were on the car. Going by the stamp on them, they are genuine MGR ones (I assume fitted at the dealer). They stick out a little far for my taste - maybe an inch or so, but I have left them as they are as they mean no chance of soot.
