Default What is the name of the filter ??

Hi Guys.
Can someone please tell me what the Filter is called that sits under the Air Filter on the Diesel motors. I have bought 2 in the past but for the for the life of me i cant think what its called, Is it the PCV Filter or something like that. Cheers

PCV but it's not a filter at all. It's positive crankcase ventilation, it's purpose is to remove the oil residue from the crankcase fumes and pass the oil back to the crankcase and feed the rest of the fumes into the inlet to be reburned.

I often here people say they prefer a filter over the vortex type system that replaced the loo roll type.
