They got it right the first time round, the classic retro look just suits both the 75 and the ZT.

I'm torn with the ZT as I like both mk1 and mk2. But with the 75 it's definitely the mk1 as I just think the mk2 front end looks a tad bland and less classy due to its lack of any chrome inserts. I try to like it......... but I just can't do it!

End of the day, I spend maybe 5% of my time looking at the outside of my car, and 95% behind the wheel. To me, it's the interior that's important. As it happens I own a Mk2 simple because it was the right car at the right time, however, it now sports a real wood walnut interior and I am planning on changing the colour of the clock lights to orange. For me, mk1 or mk2 matters not.

The MK1 looks better I reckon, although the facelift has grown on me a lot since I've owned it. But if you get a later MK1 or a MK2 there's a few interior changes that make the world of difference.

I have got a mk2 with mk1 cream leather seats,mk1 real wood dash and mk1 steering wheel air bag. Best of both worlds

Prefer the look of the Mk1 75, the Mk2 75 grille is just ugly.
But the ZT, the Mk2 I think looks more sporty, hence why I bought one.

I agree - slash lights are just a means to reduce production costs in all marques - don't like bumper car lights either

Mk1 without hesitation, Cowley built 75 indeed, mesh grill & whole walnut & sandstone leather. In one word: mine!

Have to agree with that, as in my eyes the facelift 75 grille looks like it was originally a design proposal for Skoda - which was promptly rejected. And the updated badge looks tacky next to the class of its predecessor. The ZT looks good in both guises though.
