Question Pagid calipers?

Pagid calipers - are they any good? (compared to MGR ones)

And do they fit the MGR carriers properly?

I cannot say anything about Pagid calipers but can say that it costs about £40 in parts plus £10 for brake fluid to rebuild a set of two. The job would take an afternoon including a brake fluid flush, removing the calipers, rebuilding followed by brake bleeding.

I have done it on our CDT at the front.

The original ones that Rimmer's sell are made by ATE, personally I'd rather fit those than anything made by Pagid.

Yes, a rebuild is an option, not that I think there's anything wrong with the existing ones apart from them being covered in rust.

I'm really asking about Pagid because ECP have got 35% off at the moment and the only calipers they've got for my car happen to be Pagid. A 'new' pair of rears works out at £144.17.

The £144.17 includes a 'surcharge/refundable deposit' of £47.98. It seems the Pagids are reconditioned units and the £47.98 is refunded if they receive the old calipers from my car. In which case I'd be paying £96.19 for a reconditioned pair.

So it's either:

a) £40 - rebuild them myself
b) £96 - someone else rebuilds them

Russ
I did find some new ATE ones but I've managed to lose the web page and I can't remember the price.
