I believe we have different interpretations of restored.

I believe restored to mean stripped to the last nut and bolt and rebuilt so its in "as new " condition, or better than new in some cases.

Your restorations have a degree of "patina "

Thank you but the p6 has had a nut and bolt engine rebuild same with the spitfire the Armstrong had a nut and bolt restoration 25 years ago and the paint got cracked when it was taken to the states then the guy died so the family got it back to the uk where it stood in a garage for 10+ years where the garage fell around it then some people was going to restore it and hire it for weddings then fell out so my dad got the Armstrong back 3 years ago and just needs a respray now

Hmm. I would call that over-restored unless the vehicle was in such a parlous condition as to render complete rebuilding necessary.
Not a bad thing but erasing all history & patina from a vehicle which is clearly a sound survivor has thankfully become less prevalent & conservation has become more common.

Very true!
But but bikes with patina rarely win rosette's unfortunately.

A Sapphire has appeared in the car park of the social club we go to. Not sure who owns it yet. Very nice, looks like an older restoration so is well worn in.
