Default 2005 contemporary se cdti with v8 bumper

Seen one of these today. Was the bumper an option for these cars?

I'm certain that it wasn't standard fit on contemporary SE's as some don't have the premium bumper, saying that most seem to have the bumper fitted, including mine

Well it was a factory option for my dad's 2005 Connoisseur diesel tourer.

I don't see the attraction personally, as they are basically unobtainium parts, hewn from a solid billet of cack as per factory, and much worse in subsequent copies of the idea.

My wifes Contemporary SE has the standard R75 facelift bumper which I am changing tomorrow for a facelift ZT bumper
