Default The Orange Grove 75 Tourer

Thought I would start a fresh thread about this to follow on from the "was it you" thread with thanks to LimoRog for getting it going.
https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...d.php?t=274664

OK so I had a drive to Bournemouth today to track this car down with a view to possible purchase, found it parked on the road side so I knocked on the door of the closest house and met the owner who introduced him self as Laurie and guess what? he is already a paid up club member (LaurieBW) he recognised redfive straight away having met with myself, ceedy, and Dallas at the Sherbourne classics show a couple of years ago where we gave him a club flyer.
Had a good long chat with both Laurie and his wife and found out that despite it's rather dusty look the tourer has been and still is a well loved car.
They have owned the car since 2006 and aparently it was a MG Rover managers car when new, it is a conny se with almost all the toys with only the bolster on the drivers seat showing some wear (Laurie would love to hear from anyone who has a good cover or complete Ash Grey piped seat for sale)
mechanicly it want's for nothing and gets it's oil etc changed every 6 months which works out about every 1000 miles, it needs a little paint here and there to make it perfect which will be done soon and is definately not for sale.
Laurie has the wheel centres and the tow cover tucked away safe and sound but is wary of fitting them as he has had a spot light stolen from the car in the past..
I'm hoping that he will bring the car to the spring national in May (details of which will be posted soon) so that we can see more of this rare car..
Cheers Ian

Default The Orange Grove 75 Tourer

Guess what !

Yesterday morning as I went through the junction at the top of my Road with the v8 Tourer to work after the weekend at the Classic Motor Show. Guess who passed me going the other way ?

The driver/owner did do a double take at me in my Tourer
