Default I really need help with this 2.5 v6

Hi Lads I could really do with your input and help on this one.
My 75 has been in the garage for a month at a friends MOT and service bay.
He is now lost with this. It all started one Saturday/ Sunday morning. Id drove the car with a full tank of petrol for over 100 miles on the Saturday with no problems at all. Come to start on Sunday and it just turned over and fired up then died.

AA checked it out and said VIS Compensation Valve constantly open
Plus VIS 2 constantly open P1470 and P1472 were the codes.

Off to the garage and changed the valves still not running. Fuel pump was not giving much pressure so it was changed. Car started but again died. Lamba wires checked and seem ok not rubbing or anything. Good fuel pressure there. The garage called Best of British in Darlaston who have said its the module on the left hand side opposite to the pump ?? is that not just a filter. Any help would be great. Dek

Hi Derek,
VIS motors will have no impact on the car starting
What year is the car? could it be a fuel filter seperation? (FOC). This is the filter in the fuel tank that is known to work loose and is fixed with the fixing of a clip to the filter.

It's not usually the pump that is the problem...... it's the filter on the other side.

Its separates through vibration.... or age.....

Only by a few mm but it may need the Fabled Orange Clip

Derek; listen to what Stocktake, neilll and championdaddy are telling you rather than the garage.

Thanks lads for your help. Now Kieth at the garage is going to take the filter out and see if its that. Kieth is a great mate of mine and has been for over 20 years. So I trust him and know he will never rip me off. But your help is so fantastic. Fingers crossed for news today about it
