Default Sad day.

A sad day today for us, our little cat Aubrey was killed on the road outside our house last night. He was struck by a passing motorbike.

Loads of respect to the couple on the bike who stopped and were distraught, the lady knocked on the door to tell us what had happened, the gent stayed with Aubrey for the last moments.

No blame at all on the bikers who (unlike others who speed past our place) were riding sensibly.

We have now lost three cats in less than a year, one poisoned and two killed on the roads.

At least the little guy didn’t suffer as it was quick, god bless ya mate will see you again one day.

Sad to hear this. How good of the couple on the bike to be so caring. Tragedies and accidents DO happen. I believe a measure of the person is how we deal with the consequences of our actions - accidental or otherwise.

Seems like these bikers were genuinely ‘good guys’.

Oh no! Andy that's sad news, It's awful to go through, at least they had the decency to stop and let you know what happened to him.

So sorry Andy. Reading this brought tears as I was only recently looking at your pictures of him on the chimney etc.

Andy that is such heart breaking news, they become so much part of the family
and to lose a loved pet is so distressing, at least the bikers stopped to see if there was anything they could do.

Such a sad tale, at least as you say Andy quite quick, hope you and Debs are coping OK it can be quite traumatic.

We used to feed a stray until one day a neighbour knocked on the door to say it had been knocked down and was lying in the road. We brought the cat inside and tried to make it as comfortable as possible. Marina even tried to feed it with a syringe. It lasted on the sofa for around 36 hours and then.......

It got up off the sofa, laid on the carpet and has lived with us ever since ( around 4 yr.)

Sadly cats have little or no road sense, most will have used up eight of their nine lives if they reach old age.Sorry to hear about your loss.
